We are currently working on a logo for the project and the favourite just now is a dormouse with brambles. Hazel dormice are threatened in the UK but there are some in Roborough and one of the project aims will be to provide good habitat and food plants for them. Hazel is an obvious start but there are lots of blackberry bushes in the east field already and we can put up dormouse boxes too. The other species we are focussing on just now are barn owls and Emperor and golden ringed dragonflies. The dragonflies are already present and will definitely benefit from the large number of pools we are going to create plus barn owl boxes will encourage this beautiful owl to raise young on the site.
